2010 Behrend Baseball Top Stories
On Saturday, December 4, the Behrend Lions baseball program participated in its annual commitment with Habitat for Humanity. The baseball program provided two groups of 11 players and coaches to continue work on a new home build in Erie.
On Wednesday, October 27, the Behrend Lions baseball team took time to spend with the children of the Penn State Behrend Child Care Center, located on campus in Knowledge Park. The wonderful fall weather proved to make the perfect atmosphere for kickball, wiffle ball, and freeze tag.
The Behrend Lions baseball program has announced its 2010-11 clinic series schedule for the upcoming season. The blue and white begin the series with a Collegiate Skills Clinic on Sunday, October 3, 2010, at 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on the Behrend diamond.

Senior shortstop Josh Fyffe (Fredonia, PA/Sharpsville) was selected by his teammates and coaching staff as the program MVP.
The Behrend Lions finished the 2010 season ranked twenty-fifth in the nation according to the June 1, 2010 D3baseball.com poll. The blue and white finished their record breaking season with a 31-17 record after capturing the AMCC regular season and conference tournament titles.

Penn State Behrend senior baseball players Josh Fyffe (Fredonia/Sharpsville) and Dustin Dubensky (Punxsutawney/Punxsutawney) were recently named to the 2010 ABCA All-Region Team. Fyffe was selected to the First Team while Dubensky was picked for the Third Team.
The Penn State Behrend baseball team saw their season come to end on Friday, May 21 with a loss to the host of the tournament, Marietta College. The Behrend Lions had a spectacular run through the regionals, winning the first two games and becoming the talk of Division III baseball.
A total of seven Behrend baseball players were recently named to the 2010 All-Conference team with senior shortstop Josh Fyffe (Fredonia/Sharpsville) leading the way as the conference Player of the Year. Two players were named to the first team while five were named to the second.
The Penn State Behrend Lions baseball team continued their success with a 7-6 victory over Thomas More College in a game that came down to the ninth inning. Behrend is now 2-0 in the Mideast Regional and will play tommorow at 1 p.m.
The Penn State Behrend baseball team earned its first-ever NCAA Tournament victory with a 10-8 win in ten innings versus Wooster, the #2 seed in the Mideast Region on Wednesday, May 19. Behrend, the #7 seed, will face #5 Thomas More on Thursday.
