Ryan Zamiskie Named AMCC Pitcher of the Week
Penn State Behrend junior pitcher Ryan Zamiskie (Jeanette/Penn-Trafford) was recently named the AMCC Pitcher of the Week for his steller performance on the mound for the blue and white during spring training.
Penn State Behrend junior pitcher Ryan Zamiskie (Jeanette/Penn-Trafford) was recently named the AMCC Pitcher of the Week for his steller performance on the mound for the blue and white during spring training.
Zamiskie logged a win and 2 saves over the spring break schedule for the Behrend Lions. He threw 4 innings of relief ball against Elizabethtown, striking out 6; retired one batter in 2/3 innings vs. Westminster; and pitched 2.1 innings (3 Ks, 0 BB, 2 runs) to defeat Manhattanville in a 21-14 slugfest.
The Behrend Lions closed out spring training with a record of 7-1 and return home with momentum on their side. The blue and white will travel to Kentucky this coming weekend for a doubleheader with the Thomas More Saints.
