Altemose, Kachurick Earn AMCC Weekly Honors
Sophomore Clay Altemose and freshman Lucas Kachurick, members of the Penn State Behrend men’s swimming and diving team, have earned the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) weekly honors.
ERIE, Pa. – Sophomore Clay Altemose and freshman Lucas Kachurick, members of the Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team, have earned the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) weekly honors.
Altemose was named Men's Swimmer of the Week and Kachurick is collecting his third Diver of the Week honors. Both led the Lions to capture the Fredonia State Blue Devil Invitational this weekend. Altemose broke the program record in the 200 butterfly (1:57.72) and the 100 backstroke (53.42), while swimming a leg on three relay teams that set pool records (200 free, 200 medley, 400 medley). He also took first place in every individual event he swam.
Kachurick continues to turn in stellar performances on the diving board. He took fifth in the 3m with a score of 406.80 and was sixth in the 1m diving (373.10).
Behrend travels to Westminster on Saturday for its last competition until January. Meet time is 1 p.m.
