ERIE, Pa. – Both the men's and women's Penn State Behrend soccer teams are currently ranked in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Great Lakes Region poll. The men are ranked 7th and the women are 10th.
The men (13-1-3, 6-0-1 AMCC) are ranked for the fifth week in a row. They have won four straight while outscoring their opponents 17-1 and are tied for first in conference. On wednesday, they took down Pitt-Bradford 5-0.
The women (12-4, 7-0 AMCC) have broken into the rankings for the first time this season. They are currently riding an eight-game winning streak and remain undefeated in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). On Wednesday they handed Pitt-Bradford their first conference loss of the season in a 5-0 victory.
Both teams will travel to McCandless, PA on Saturday for Conference matchups against La Roche. The women will play at 1 p.m. followed by the men at 3:15 p.m.
