Penn State Behrend Claims One AMCC POW - December 7, 2009

The Behrend Lions claimed one AMCC Player of the Week honors. The league office announces selections each Monday throughout the season.

Ben Strunk (Cogan Station/Williamsport) has been named the AMCC male swimmer of the week for his contributions over the weekend and the great performance he turned in.  Strunk had an outstanding weekend and was a major contributor to the team win at the Fredonia State Blue Devil Invitational. While taking first place in the 100 Breaststroke, Ben broke the FSU pool record, and a 7 year old team record with a time of 59.75. He added 3 other first place finishes, one in the 200 breaststroke and two as a member of the ECAC qualifying 200 and 400 medley relays. Strunk rounded out the weekend with a 4th place finish in the 200 IM.
