Bio
Jeff Webster enters his 19th year as the head certified athletic trainer at Penn State Behrend in the 2015-16 academic year.
During his tenure, Webster has been responsible for the total medical care of approximately 350 student-athletes in 22 varsity sports. In addition to overseeing a staff of three certified athletic trainers, he also serves as an affiliated clinical instructor for the Mercyhurst College athletic training education program.
With certifications and licensures from the National Athletic Trainers Association (1992-present), the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State Board of Medicine (1993-Present) and the American Red Cross as a First Aid, CPR & AED Instructor (2000-present), Webster also is a faculty member in the department of kinesiology and health education.
Prior to Penn State Behrend, Webster served as the head athletic trainer at Division II Gannon University for four years, mainly working with the football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball programs.

Webster started his athletic training career at Erie Community College in Williamsville, N.Y. in 1992 after obtaining his master’s degree in athletic training from California University of Pennsylvania.
The Medina, N.Y. native earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Gannon in 1991. Webster and his wife, Lauren Packer Webster, and their daughter reside in Erie.
