ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's bowling team be competing for the second time this season, hosting the 2022 Grapevine Bowling Classic on Saturday at Eastland Bowl.

* Penn State Behrend, Daemen, La Roche, Pitt-Greensburg

* Behrend will face Daemen in the first traditional game, then La Roche and lastly Pitt-Greensburg to determine the seeding for the semifinals and finals
* The Lions opened the season two weeks ago at the two-day Division II Mercyhurst Invitational
* Freshman bowler Mars McAninch (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain) had a traditional average of 175.0 to rank 11th overall individually out of 55 bowlers on day one at the Mercyhurst Invite
* McAninch helped the Lions post a 4-6 overall record, while defeating Mercyhurst for the first-time ever in traditional format
* McAninch's best game was a 195 on Saturday
* Steven Benke begins his fourth season as the head bowling coach
* The Lions were picked to finish fifth out of 11 teams in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Preseason Coaches Poll
