Game One Key Moments:
* The first-inning woes contuned for the Lions as the Mavericks scratched a run across to open the scoring in the bottom half of the opening frame
* The tally proved to be the only offense Medaille would muster as starter Derrick Shields (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) went all seven innings, holding the Mavs to just five hits while striking out a career-high 11 batters
* Zack Bowen (Pittsburgh, PA/Serra Catholic) propelled the offense in the fourth inning with a one-out walk and a stolen base to get himself into scoring position for Juston Jones (Moon Township, PA/Moon), who doubled him home for the Lions' first run of the day
* The Behrend bats got going the following inning as Daniel Boehme (Peters Township, PA/Seton LaSalle) led the inning off with a single with Colin Harger (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) following up with a base hit of his own
* Zac Bogats (Corapolis, PA/Moon) deleivered a two-RBI double with a drive to left-center field to give the Lions the advantage
* Bowen capped the three-run fourth with a run-scoring single, bringing home Bogats
* Another three spot in the seventh helped close the victiry as Jones, Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) and Austin Thellman (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk) each registered RBIs in the inning
Game Two Key Moments:
* Jones helped Behrend strike first with a lead-off single in the second frame and scoring on a Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) single
* Ciocco would later score via base knock off the bat of Harger
* With the Lions leading 3-0 in the sixth, a triple for Medaille set a runner in scoring position with just one out with the heart of the order waiting
* Jeff Zick (Moon, PA/Our Lady of Sacred Heart) slammed the door on a potential scoring opportunity, registering consecutive strikeouts to escape without a run
* Zick ended the following inning with a punch out, concluding his day with 12-total strikeouts for a new career best
* Behrend added some insurance in the ninth with RBIs from Jones and Dylan Hetrick (Mercer, PA/Mercer)
