Behrend Honors Five Seniors In Final Conference Test of Season Saturday
The Penn State Behrend baseball team will compete in its final regular season Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) doubleheader of the season on Saturday, May 3 against Mount Aloysius.

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team will compete in its final regular season Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) doubleheader of the season on Saturday, May 3 against Mount Aloysius. Game one is set for 1 p.m. Prior to the first game, seniors Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township), Chase Palmer (Brookville, PA/Brookville), Daniel Boehme (Peters Township, PA/Seton LaSalle), Evan Bromley (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park), and Joe Lang (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) will be recognized.

* The Lions fell in a doubleheader to Alfred State on Wednesday
* Ciocco was most recently named AMCC Player of the Week and to D3baseball.com's Team of the Week, slashing .609/.654/1.130 as he hit 14-for-23 with six doubles, two home runs, 10 runs scored and 19 RBI in six games played last week
* Ciocco ranks second in the AMCC and 12th in the nation with a .453 batting average. He is also first in the conference in hits (58), third in runs batted in (38), third in doubles (12), third in on-base percentage (.510), and fourth in slugging percentage (.633)
* Ciocco is currently on a 13-game hitting streak and has reached base in 33 of Behrend's 34 contests this season. He sits 13th in Division III as one of the toughest hitters to strikeout with only five strikeouts in 128 at-bats this year
* Starter Andrew Bredel (Clinton, PA/Burgettstown) sits tied for first in the conference and 17th in the nation in wins (seven), while being second in the AMCC in earned-run average (2.36) and fourth in strikeouts (46)
* Bromley and Colin Bolla (Fairview, PA/Fairview) are tied for fourth in the AMCC with five wins apiece on the mound, while Bolla is fifth with 45 strikeouts in 41.1 innings pitched
* Relievers Jake Manendo (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) and Lang are second and third in the conference with five and four saves, respectively
* Freshman Cayden Turner (Stoystown, PA/North Star) has registered a .397 average with six doubles and 16 RBIs in 73 plate appearances

* As a team, Behrend is 18th in all of Division III in with a .335 batting average
