ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team swept Penn State Altoona 8-3 and 16-6 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon.
Game One:
Score: Penn State Behrend 8, Penn State Altoona 3
Records: Penn State Behrend (9-4, 1-0 AMCC), Penn State Altoona (7-8, 0-1 AMCC)
Key Moments:
* The Behrend Lions scored first and broke open the game in the fifth inning
* Altoona grabbed an early 2-1 lead after the second inning
* Behrend responded with three runs in the third for a 4-2 advantage
* Thomas Nicely had an RBI single to left field to score Silvio Ionadi, before Connolly drove Dylan Barnes in for the 3-2 lead
