Bolla Named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend baseball junior Colin Bolla has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week.

Barnes, the current Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Pitcher of the Week, recorded his first collegiate no-hitter in game one for a 1-0 win over Pitt-Bradford on Saturday. The junior starter was one strikeout away from reaching his game-high, fanning 12 in the complete seven-inning game.

Bolla faced 26 batters and walked five, while converting a double play in the top of the seventh to preserve the no hitter. He is the sixth pitcher in program history to accomplish this feat.

The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its fifteenth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.  

The Lions will travel to Franciscan tomorrow for a nine-inning non-conference game.
