Behrend Baseball Rolls to 20-2 Victory; Lions Advance in AMCC Championships

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team scored 20 runs on 16 hits while drawing 10 walks to defeat No. 5 Mt. Aloysius in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship first round on Thursday.

Key Moments:

* Starter Colin Bolla earned the win to improve to 8-1, tossing six shutout innings with 10 strikeouts while allowing just one hit
* Behrend had six extra-base hits, including three solo home runs
* Silvio Ionadi hit one over the fence in the first, Adam Cooper in the second and Joey Fazzone in the eighth
* Ionadi and Cooper finished 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored
* Spencer Deitz collected two hits, including a double, and drove in four runs
* David Gibson recorded two hits, one RBI, two walks, and scored four runs
* Cayden Turner went 2-for-2 with an RBI, four runs scored, and a walk
* Dylan Barnes added two hits, including a double, while scoring twice and driving in a run
* Behrend scored in six consecutive innings, including a five-run fifth inning and four-run fourth inning
* Ethan Tinker worked the final three innings in relief to record the save
