Case Western Edges Behrend Men's Basketball

ERIE, Pa. – The Case Western Reserve men's basketball team shot 51.9 percent from the floor and got 36 points from their bench to defeat Penn State Behrend 71-68 in non-conference action on Tuesday night.

Key Moments:

* Alex Vincent came off the bench for a game-high 24 points and nine rebounds to help the Spartans get their second straight win to start the season
* Vincent scored half of Case Western's points in the first half with 18 while the team shot 58.6 percent from the floor to take a four-point lead at halftime
* The Spartans held a 20-9 rebounding advantage in the first 20 minutes and finished with a 40-26 edge
* Case Western did not trail in the second half, but the Lions within one point on five occasions in the final three and a half minutes of the game
* Matthew McDonough scored eight of the team's final 10 points of the game to finish with 12 points for the half and 15 for the game
* McDonough had the last-second three pointer for the Lions but it hit the rim for the final three-point margin
* Jacob Dunkle led Behrend in scoring and boards, registering 18 points and seven rebounds including three triples
* Anand Dharmarajan hit all four free throws down in the last nine seconds to help the Spartans hold on for the win
