Pitt-Greensburg Snaps Men's Basketball Win Streak; Lions Fall by 12
Pitt-Greensburg men’s basketball team snapped Penn State Behrend’s seven-game winning streak Saturday, handing the Lions their first conference loss in the process, rallying from a 34-31 half-time deficit, to down the Lions 67-55. The Bobcats climbed within a game of the Lions in the battle for first place.

GREENSBURG, Pa. – Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team snapped Penn State Behrend's seven-game winning streak Saturday, handing the Lions their first conference loss in the process, rallying from a 34-31 half-time deficit, to down the Lions 67-55. The Bobcats climbed within a game of the Lions in the battle for first place.

* Behrend led 34-31 at the break due in part to 50 percent shooting from the floor and holding the Bobcats to just 9 of 24, including 1-for-9 from long distance|
* The Lions led 26-7 with eight minutes to play in the first half but were outscored 60-29 from that point on
* Freshman forward Jacob Dunkle and freshman guard Drew Hind led the way for the Lions at the break with nine points each
* Pitt-Greensburg flipped the script in the first 12 minutes of the second half
* The Bobcats converted eight of their first 13 shots and held Behrend to just 3-for-14 in taking the lead for good at 49-43
* The Bobcats shot 15-for-22 from the field (68 percent) in the second stanza while the Lions converted just 8-for-24
* Four of the five Pitt-Greensburg starters totaled a combined 56 points, headed by Trent Rozich with 18
* Dunkle led the Lions in scoring with 15. Senior Mason Blankenburg finished with 11 and sophomore Nate Edwards totaled 10
* Each team has now protected its home court for the last two seasons.

* Behrend will look to start another winning streak when it travels to conference rival Hilbert Wednesday, February 4, at 7 p.m. The Lions won the earlier meeting 81-69 January 14 at the Junker Center.
