Dunkle Named ECAC Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Year
Penn State Behrend freshman forward Jacob Dunkle has been named the 2026 Division III Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Year.

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend freshman forward Jacob Dunkle has been named the 2026 Division III Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Year.
Dunkle led the Lions with 16.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. The AMCC First Team selection and All-Tournament Team choice, scored double-figure points in 23 out of the 27 contests.
Dunkle posted seven double-doubles this season and scored 20 or more points in 11 games. He also had 21 blocks 18 steals and 27 assists. Dunkle registered a season-best 26 points on two occasions and pulled down a season-high 16 rebounds at Pitt-Bradford.
