Men's Golf Opens Season With James Bowen Invitational Saturday
The Penn State Behrend men’s golf team will host the James Bowen Invitational on Saturday at the Whispering Woods Golf Course to open the 2020-21 season.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team will host the James Bowen Invitational on Saturday at the Whispering Woods Golf Course to open the 2020-21 season.
Weekend Schedule
* 18 holes at the Whispering Woods Golf Course in Erie, PA
* Tee times begin at 12 p.m.

* Behrend will compete against Penn State Altoona, Pitt-Bradford, Mt. Aloysius
* La Roche and Hilbert will have two golfers each and not record a team score
* The Lions return 2019 AMCC Newcomer of the Year Ryan Meyer (Sewickley, PA/North Allegheny) and All-AMCC selection Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep)
* Meyer was also the Team MVP and averaged 79.0 last season
* Behrend welcomes back seven golfers from last year's AMCC third-place team
* The Lions added six new faces to the roster
