Men’s Swimming and Diving Set To Honor Four Seniors Saturday

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team welcomes Grove City and Wells to the Junker Center Pool on Saturday, Jan. 13. Meet begins at 1 p.m. Prior to the meet, four seniors will be recognized in a senior ceremony.

* Seniors Jax Abele (Erie, PA/Iroquois), Jacob Bailey (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional), Cody Nikolai (Erie, PA/Erie High), and Dan Tanaskovic (Aliquippa, PA/Central Valley) will be honored prior to competition beginning
* In their last meet before Christmas break, the Lions earned their fourth dual-meet win with a 170.5-91.5 victory at Penn State Altoona
* Tanaskovic and Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) each won four events for Behrend
* Compton had three individual wins and one relay. He first won the 100 butterfly in 52.66, before winning the 500 free (4:50.38) and 200 IM (2:03.90)
* Tanaskovic was victorious the freestyle sprint events, claiming the 50 free (22.10) and the 100 free (49.70)
* Will Perham (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) was a triple winner for the Lions, winning the breaststroke events with a time of 28.41 in the 50 and the 1:02.17 in the 100
* Perham joined Compton, Tanaskovic, and Anthony Tumino (Hershey, PA/Hershey) in the 200-medley relay to secure a victorious time of 1:39.59
* Glenn Fowkes (Vandergrift, PA/Kiski Area) touched in 25.54 in the 50 back for first place, and 55.27 in the 100 back
* Abele, Tumino, Tanaskovic and Ryan Willis (State College, PA/State College) finished the meet with a win in the 200 free relay, while Abele won the first individual event of the night in the 200 free, touching the wall in a time of 1:53
