BUFFALO, NY – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team sits in first place out of 11 teams after day one of the 2026 SUNYAC Championships at the Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College on Wednesday night.
Men's Scores: 1. Penn State Behrend (121), 2. SUNY Oswego (104), 3. SUNY Oneonta (94), 4. SUNY Cortland (87), 5. Penn State Altoona (72), 6. SUNY Fredonia (57), 7. SUNY New Paltz (56), 8. Pitt-Bradford (48), 9. SUNY Potsdam (32), 9. Suny Delhi (32), 11. Alfred State (20)
Noteworthy:
* The Behrend Lions accumulated 121 points after the 3-meter diving and two relays
* The Lions won the 200 medley relay thanks to Isaac Stoeckle, Will Perham, Zachary Turner and Aaron DiFilippo
* The foursome touched first with a time of 1:32.03
* Kyle Malec placed third on the three-meter diving board with a score of 346.20, earning points for Behrend
* Malec's score broke a 15-year old team record set by Lucas Kachurick in 2011
* The team of Anthony Tumino, Nicolin Pierce, Tyler Ingraham and Perham was third in the 800 free relay (7:03.39)
