Stoeckle Named 2026 SUNYAC Men's Swimmer of the Year
Penn State Behrend sophomore Isaac Stoeckle was named the 2026 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men’s Swimmer of the Year.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend sophomore Isaac Stoeckle was named the 2026 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Swimmer of the Year.
Stoeckle was named the Most Outstanding Swimmer at the 2026 SUNYAC Championships where he won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke. His 100-yard backstroke broke the team, meet, and conference records and earned him a spot at the NCAA championship meet. He also placed third in the 200-yard backstroke at the league championship and was a crucial member of four winning relays to help his team win the SUNYAC championship crown.
Stoeckle advanced to the NCAA championships where he competed in the 50-yard freestyle (48th), 100-yard freestyle (38th) and 100-yard backstroke (21st). He was the fourth Behrend Lion in program history to earn an invitation to the NCAA Championships.
