Behrend Men's Tennis Poised For AMCC Championships
The No. 2 Penn State Behrend men’s tennis team will face the No. 3 Mt. Aloysius in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Tournament Semifinals on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Westwood Racquet Club.
ERIE, Pa. – The No. 2 Penn State Behrend men's tennis team will face the No. 3 Mt. Aloysius in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Tournament Semifinals on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Westwood Racquet Club.

* The Lions enter the championship as the No. 2 seed
* Behrend was named the Co-AMCC Regular-Season Champions with Penn State Altoona
* The Lions earned the No. 2 seed on a tiebreaker based on the total number of match points won between the two tied teams
* Behrend defeated Altoona 4-3 and lost 5-2 to give them the tiebreaker, 8-6
* The Lions are looking to win their fourth straight championship
* Last season, Behrend registered a 5-4 win over Altoona to claim their ninth overall AMCC title
* The winner of the semifinals will advance to the championship match slated for Sunday, April 27 at 1 p.m.
* During the regular season, Graham Louis (Erie, PA/Fairview) posted a 13-5 overall record at No. 4 singles
* Jonathon Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt) and William Thomas (Greensburg, PA/Greensburg Salem) both tallied nine wins in singles action this season

* The Mounties are 5-10 overall and went 2-4 during the AMCC regular season
* Mt. Aloysius claimed the third seed for the tournament, defeating Pitt-Greensburg twice
* The Mounties dropped a pair of matches to the Lions during the regular season
* Behrend posted 7-0 and 6-1 victories
* Tristan Ruffley leads the team with an 8-7 overall singles record
