Men's Track and Field Set for Season Opener

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's track and field team opens their season with the Toy Drive Invite, hosted by Mount Union on Saturday.
Behrend News and Notes:
* In 2020-21, Behrend finished first at the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship, capturing their fifth conference title
* The Lions swept the CSAC Awards, having both the Track Athlete of the Year and the Field Athlete of the Year
* Phoenix Myers (Erie, PA/Seneca) claimed the top runner in the conference last season after winning all three of his events in the conference championship (3000m steeple, 1500m, 5000m)
* Matt Michael (Erie, PA/Iroquois) earned Field Athlete of the Year following his gold medal performance in shot put, throwing 14.80m
* Behrend returns 16 All-CSAC honorees from a season ago, including eight first-team selections
