Men’s Track & Field Competes At Mount Union
The Penn State Behrend men’s indoor track & field team took part in the Jim Wuske Invitational, hosted by Mount Union on Saturday.
ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend men's indoor track & field team took part in the Jim Wuske Invitational, hosted by Mount Union on Saturday.
Key Moments:
* Brandon Konieczki (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) and Derek Hillhouse (Erie, PA/McDowell) each secured runner-up finishes in the field on Saturday
* Konieczski secured a second-place score of 21-8 ¼ in the long jump. Cole Cunningham (Mercer, PA/Mercer) tallied eighth in this event (20-9)
* Hillhouse scored 6-0 ¾ for second place in the high jump, followed by Cunningham's eighth-place height of 5-8 ¾
* Freshmen Carter Tobin (Irwin, PA/Norwin) earned two top-five finishes for the Lions
* Tobin ran a third place time of 23.01 in the 200m and then would go on to place fourth in the 60m (7.15)
* In the pole vault, Ryan Festa (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) recorded a height of 14-6 ¼ for fourth place
* Thrower Alex Cotton (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) delivered a fifth-place distance of 51-0 ¼ in the shot put
* In the 60m hurdles, Dominic Marino (Girard, PA/Girard) ran a fifth-place time of 9.00
* Hayden Travers (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) placed ninth in the weight throw (45-5 ¼)
