Egizio Breaks 400m Record; Men's Track & Field Takes On Spire College Games

KENT, Ohio – Jake Egizio broke won the 400m and broke his own school record to lead the Penn State Behrend indoor track & field team at the Spire College Indoor Games held at Spire on Saturday.
Key Moments:
* Egizio ran a new time of 49.02, 0.58 seconds faster than last week to set the new record
* Lee Qualk was the second winner of the day for the Lions, taking first in the long jump (7.00m)
* Carter Tobin tallied two third-place finishes, running 6.87 in the 60m and 21.91 in the 200m
* Dominic Marino was one of three athletes with personal-best times
* Marino came in third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.61
* In the 5000m, Alex Haskins ran a personal-best time of 15:47.76 for ninth place overall, while Aidan Reinsel ran a 4:28.95 in the mile for his personal best
* In the field events, Alex Cotton was fifth in the shot put (14.86) and Ryan Visosky placed 10th in the weight throw (13.42m)
* The Lions had four runners compete in the 4000 distance medley, placing second overall in 10:54.29 thanks to Egizio, Reinsel, Ethan Hunt and Drew Knight
