Behrend Indoor Track & Field Set for SUNYAC Championships
The Penn State Behrend men’s and women’s indoor track & field teams will compete at the 2026 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Conference Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27 – 28. The two-day championships will take place at the Special Events Recreation Center in Brockport, NY, beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Behrend News & Notes:
Men
* The Behrend Lions took fourth at last year's championship
* The top-18 times/marks in the SUNYAC have qualified for conference championships with two wildcard spots available for each school
* Not including the relay events, the Behrend men will have 25 athletes compete on Friday and Saturday
* Behrend had five high jumpers qualify: Derek Hillhouse, Cole Cunningham, Boden Gushie, Braden Balaski and Shlok Chavda
* Three athletes qualified for the 60m dash: Carter Tobin, Brandon Konieczki and Lee Qualk
* Marshall Nock will be the first wildcard selection in the 60m dash for Behrend
* Tobin has the fastest time in the SUNYAC in the 60m dash (6.85) and will also be the lone competitor in the 200m
* The 3000m race will feature Ethan Vaughn, Aidan Reinsel and Michael Werner
* Alex Haskins will serve as the final wildcard selection in the 3000m
* Haskins will also join Peyton Brewer in the 5000m run
* In the 400m, Jake Egizio and Logan Brewer will represent the Lions
* Alex Cotton, Antonio Faraone and Ryan Visosky (Erie, Pa/McDowell) are competing in the shot put
* The long jump features Qualk, Konieczki and Cunningham, while the pole vault showcases Jacob Chiles and Trent Turner
* Behrend is also seeded first in the distance medley consisting of Reinsel, Ethan Hunt, Drew Knight and Vaughn
* Knight is also the lone competitor in the 800m run and Vaughan will also lead the Lions in the mile
* Dominic Marino qualified for the 60m hurdles, ranking 10th heading into the championships
* The top-3 finishers in each event will be named to the All-Conference Team
Women
* Not including the relay events, the Behrend women will have 15 athletes compete at indoor championships
* The Lions finished sixth overall at last year's championships
* Abigail Falk, Lindsey Hartle, Anna Buck, Morgan Martin and Kelsey Hanna were compete in a pair of individual events for Behrend
* Falk leads the Lions in the 60m dash along with Ruby Lormejuste and Buck, while also being the lone competitor in the 200m dash
* Hartle has the best time for Behrend in the 3000m and the 5000m events
* Hanna will join Hartle in the 3000m, and Bethany Litwiler and Sam Abate are also in the 5000m
* Martin will represent the Lions in the 60m hurdles and the pole vault
* Buck is also competing in the high jump along with Emma Lang
* Alivia Hetrick qualified for the one mile and Caroline McDevitt in the 400m
* In the weight throw, Jessica Park and Norah Keeney made the Top 18
* Braylee Lukehart is set to lead the Lions in the shot put
* The two wild cards for the women's side are Ella McGowan in the 60m and Baylee Dernar in the 5000m
* The top-3 finishers in each event will be named to the All-Conference Team
