Men's Outdoor Track & Field Performs at Slippery Rock; Tobin, Qualk Break Records
Carter Tobin won the 100m and broke the school record to lead the Penn State Behrend men’s outdoor track & field team at the Dave Labor Alumni Invitational at the William Lennox Track at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium hosted by Slippery Rock.
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Carter Tobin won the 100m and broke the school record to lead the Penn State Behrend men's outdoor track & field team at the Dave Labor Alumni Invitational at the William Lennox Track at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium hosted by Slippery Rock.
Key Moments:
* Tobin won the 100m with a time of 10.44, setting a new school record
* Tobin also placed fourth in the 200m with a time of 21.32
* Lee Qualk tied for runner up in the long jump and broke the school record
* Qualk hit a distance of 24-3.75 on his fifth attempt for the new program mark
* The 4x100 relay of Marshall Nock, Tobin, Jake Egizio and Brandon Konieczki placed first overall with a time of 41.23
* In the 5000m, Peyton Brewer was third overall with a time of 16:22.89
* Konieczki also competed in the 100m, finishing in 10.81 for ninth
* Shiok Chavda led the Lions in the 400m hurdles, placing 10th in 58.30
* Alex Cotton placed 11th in the shot put, throwing 49-6.50 on his first try
