Tobin, Qualk Named SUNYAC Athletes of the Week
Penn State Behrend men’s track & field sophomore Carter Tobin and freshman Lee Qualk have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Outdoor Track Athletes of the Week.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's track & field sophomore Carter Tobin and freshman Lee Qualk have been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Outdoor Track Athletes of the Week.
Tobin broke the Behrend 100-meter outdoor record, clocking with a time of 10.44 for first place at Slippery Rock on Saturday. He also placed fourth in the 200 meter with a time of 21.32. Those times are currently ranked ninth and 10th in Division III, respectively.
Qualk tied for runner up in the long jump and broke the school record at Slippery Rock on Saturday. He hit a distance of 7.41 meters on his fifth attempt for the new program mark. He is currently tied at the No. 1 spot in Division III.
