Peyton Brewer won the 3000m steeplechase to lead the Penn State Behrend men’s outdoor track & field team at the John Papa Invitational at the William Lennox Track at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium hosted by Slippery Rock.
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Peyton Brewer won the 3000m steeplechase to lead the Penn State Behrend men's outdoor track & field team at the John Papa Invitational at the William Lennox Track at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium hosted by Slippery Rock.
Key Moments:
* Brewer won the 3000m steeplechase in 9:50.76 for first place
* Aidan Reinsel finished fourth in the same event with a time of 10:12.53
* Jake Egizio ran 48.69 in the 400m for second place, falling short of breaking the school record by seventh hundredths of a second (.07)
* Nicolin Pierce also earned second place, running 1:56.82 in the 800m event to finish runner up
* Brandon Konieczki placed second in the long jump with a distance of 23-6.25 (7.17m) on his third attempt
* Taking sixth in the 400m hurdles was Shlok Chavda with a time of 58.12
* In the high jump, Boden Gushie placed eighth with a height of 6-1 (1.85m)
* Dominic Marino placed 11th in the 100m dash, clocking in at 11.11
