Men's Outdoor Track & Field Shines at Fredonia
The Penn State Behrend men’s outdoor track & field team had four individual winners at the Fredonia Blue Devil Invite on Saturday afternoon.
FREDONIA, NY – The Penn State Behrend men's outdoor track & field team had four individual winners at the Fredonia Blue Devil Invite on Saturday afternoon.
Key Moments:
* Carter Tobin and Alex Cotton won their events for a second straight week
* Tobin crossed the finish line in 21.68 to win the 200m
* Cotton won the shot put with a throw of 16.32m
* Nicolin Pierce won the 800m with a season-best time of 1:56.72
* In the high jumper, Derek Hillhouse earned first place with a height of 1.85m (6-0 3/4)
* Dominic Marino, Carter Tobin, Jake Egizio, Cole Cunningham placed third in the 4x100 relay with an regional-qualifying time of 41.79
* Cunningham also competed in the long jump and took third with a distance of 6.80m
* In the javelin, Will Vanderweele took third with a throw of 42.07 on this first try
* Ryan Visosky threw 14.33m in the shot put to take fifth behind Cotton
* In the discus, Antonio Faraone threw 39.48m to place fifth and Visosky 39.22m for sixth
* Nathan DiGilio placed seventh in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.36m on his fifth attempt
* Aidan Riensel ran 4:13.48 in the 1500m to take seventh place overall
* David Friedrich led the Lions in the 400m, placing sixth with a time of 52.35
* Jake Nardozza took fifth in the 200m (23.53)
