Tobin Wins Silver; Behrend Track & Field Places Sixth at AARTFC Championships
Penn State Behrend men’s track & field sophomore Carter Tobin placed second in the 100m on day two of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships hosted by Ursinus College.
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's track & field sophomore Carter Tobin placed second in the 100m on day two of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships hosted by Ursinus College.
Key Moments:
* Tobin ran 10.65 to win the silver medal in the 100m
* He also ran in the 4x100 relay that placed fifth overall, joining Dominic Marino, Jake Egizio and Brandon Konieczki for a time of 41.94
* Alex Cotton finished in fifth place in the shot put and Antonio Faraone was a close sixth
* Cotton threw 16.21m on his last attempt, while Faraone tossed a personal-best 16.01m
* Faraone set his best throw a year ago at this championship (15.69m)
* Ryan Visosky also competed in the shot put, taking 15th (14.07m)
* In the high jump, Derek Hillhouse placed 14th overall with a height of 1.87m
* Egizio led Behrend in the 400m, running 50.32 for 26th place
* The final event for Behrend was the 4x800m relay
* Jack Betler, Ethan Hunt, Peyton Brewer and Aidan Reinsel clocked in with a time of 8:10.26 for 14th overall
* The Lions scored 38 points total and took sixth place overall out of 48 scoring teams
