Sixteen Named To 2026 USTFCCCA Outdoor All-Region Team
The Penn State Behrend track & field team had 16 student-athletes selected to the 2026 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Region Outdoor Team.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend track & field team had 16 student-athletes selected to the 2026 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Region Outdoor Team.
Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
For the men, it marked the most All-Region honors in a single season in program history. Carter Tobin becomes the first Behrend athlete to earn three All-Region accolades since Mitch Obenrander in 2017. On the women's side, Julia Balaski earned the honor in the javelin for a fourth consecutive year.
Tobin claimed this honor in the 100m, 200m and 4x100 relay team. Brandon Konieczki, Jake Egizio and Alex Cotton were recognized in two events apiece. Konieczki was selected in the long jump and 4x100 relay, while Egizio secured a spot in the 400m and 4x100m relay. Cotton was picked in the shot put and discus.
Charlie Motter and Brandon Balaski were selected for the javelin and throw Antonio Faraone earned the honor in the shot put.
The 4x100 relay team of Marshall Nock (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell), Jake Egizio (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillan) Carter Tobin (Irwin, PA/Norwin), Brandon Konieczki (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) notched a selection.
Marshall Nock completes the 4x100m relay and Lee Qualk joins Konieczki in the long jump. Rounding out the 16 is Derek Hillhouse in the high jump.
