Hildebrand Named AMCC Player of the Year; McMaster Earns All-AMCC Honors

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's volleyball junior outside hitter Dillon Hildebrand (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion) was named the 2019 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Year for the second straight season, while senior libero Robert McMaster (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) was chosen to the All-AMCC second team.

Hildebrand, the Co-Player of the Year in 2018, was also selected to the All-Conference first team for a second consecutive time. McMaster repeats as a second-team choice to finish his career with the Lions.

Hildebrand led the conference and team in total kills (356) and kills per set (3.49), while ranking sixth in service aces (32) and 12^th in attack percentage (.230). He registered double-digit kills in 20 matches, recording a career-high 25 kills vs. Wittenberg. Hildebrand also posted a career-high 12 digs to go with 16 kills for a double-double against Geneva. The junior set the career kills (903) and career aces (75) records at Behrend this season. Hildebrand also added 130 digs, 35 blocks and 13 assists.

McMaster, the primary passer, led the team and ranked second in the AMCC in digs (389) and was third in digs per set (3.05). He recorded double-digit digs in 19 matches. McMaster tallied a career-high 23 digs in a five-set win over Geneva. He set the digs record at Behrend this season with 895 career digs.
