ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team picked up their second win in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action, defeating Penn State Altoona 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Altoona 0 (33-31, 25-16, 25-15)
Records: Penn State Behrend (7-4, 2-0 AMCC), Altoona (2-8, 0-1 AMCC)
Key Moments:
* Jack Wilcox and Lewis Rhodes combined for 20 kills with no errors
* Wilcox led with 13 kills on 28 attacks while adding six digs, four blocks and two aces
* Rhodes hit .583 with seven kills and tallied three block assists
* Logan Unger paced the team with 13 digs and Luke Mumpower dished out 34 assists on 36 kills
* Behrend came out the victor in an extended first set
* The Lions had five chances at set point
* Wilcox had the final four kills, including the last coming at 32-31 before Altoona committed an attack error for the Behrend win
* The Lions jumped out to a 10-point lead at 20-10 and closed out the set on a kill by Rhodes for a two-set advantage
* With a 17-14 lead, Behrend scored the eight of the nine points
* Caleb Daubenspeck rattled off three straight service aces to not allowed an Altoona comeback and the win at 25-15
