Rhodes Breaks Blocks Record; Men's Volleyball Sweeps Hilbert
The Penn State Behrend men’s volleyball team picked up their sixth straight win with a 3-0 decision over Hilbert in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Wednesday night in the Junker Center.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team picked up their sixth straight win with a 3-0 decision over Hilbert in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Wednesday night in the Junker Center.
Noteworthy:
* Senior middle hitter Lewis Rhodes broke the program record for career blocks (324). Rhodes broke the record in the second set on a block assist with Daniel Easly to give Behrend a 15-7 lead

* The win helps keep the Lions unblemished record against Hilbert at 20-0 dating back to 2012
* The Hawks held a 16-15 edge in kills in the first set, the closest of the three
* Tied at 20-all, the Lions went a 4-0 spurt to get to set point thanks to a Jack Wilcox kill and Eddie Cebula service ace along with a pair of Hilbert errors
* Wilcox got his eighth kill of the set to win 25-22
* In the second set, Rhode broke the blocks record and added three kills
