Four Water Polo Players Named to MPSF All-Academic
Four players on the Penn State Behrend men’s water polo team were selected as Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) All-Academic Scholar Athletes for the 2018 season.
ERIE, Pa. – Four players on the Penn State Behrend men's water polo team were selected as Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) All-Academic Scholar Athletes for the 2018 season.
Kyle Frerichs (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge), Cameron Makin (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny), and Mike Geary (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) were selected for the second year in a row for this award. Along with these three, Greg Kinzler (Kiski, PA/Agora Charter Cyber School) was also selected for the honor.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or better, must be at least a sophomore academically, the athlete must have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season, and must have completed in fifty percent or more of the competition in his or her respective sport.
