Behrend Men's Water Polo Lands Three on All-MPSF East Team
The Penn State Behrend men’s water polo team landed three players on the 2025 Delfina All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) East Team, announced on Wednesday.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team landed three players on the 2025 Delfina All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) East Team, announced on Wednesday.
Nick Thompson landed on the First Team, while Owen Kroh was named to the Second Team and Atticus Bowman was voted to the Third Team.
Thompson, the 2024 MPSF East Newcomer of the Year, is earning his second all-conference honors in as many years. This season, the sophomore broke the school record for most goals in a season with 77. Thompson also has 30 drawn exclusions and 17 assists. He is ranked second in the MPSF for goals scored. Thompson registered two or more goals in 18 games this season, scoring a game-high seven on two occasions.
Kroh, a freshman attacker, has recorded 36 goals, 30 drawn exclusions, 13 assists and 29 steals this season. He has scored a game-high four goals on three occasions for the Lions.
Bowman is earning his second All-Conference in his career. The sophomore led the team with 37 assists, while adding 10 goals and four drawn exclusions. He also posted 24 steals and made three blocks/saves.
The Lions will head to California to compete in the MPSF Championships. The No. 8 Behrend Lions will face No. 9 Connecticut at 8 a.m. on Friday in the first round.
