BRADFORD, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend softball team swept Pitt-Bradford to remain undefeated in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Wednesday. The Lions posted a 15-11 win in game one and won 12-4 in game two in five innings.
Game One: Penn State Behrend 15, Pitt-Bradford 11
Records: Penn State Behrend (12-7, 5-0 AMCC), Pitt-Bradford (6-13, 4-1 AMCC)
Key Moments:
* It was a battle of the two undefeated teams in conference play
* The Lions had two five-run innings, the first and the fourth
* Alexia Brown began the game with a double to left center
* Julia Jones and Hannah Smith delivered back-to-back RBI hits
* Jones smacked a double and Smith a single through the left side, but not long before Jones stole home to make it 3-0
* Karma Malcom ended the inning with a two RBI single, scoring Athena Iverson and Meghan Swain
* Behrend never trailed but the Panthers cut the lead to one in the bottom of the second with five runs to make it 7-6

* Julia Jones picked up her fifth win in the circle, allowing two earned runs and pitching three scoreless innings
* Jones also helped offensively, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs
* Brown added a pair of hits, including her third double of the day
* The Lions jumped out to a 7-0 lead after three innings, before Pitt-Bradford got on the board
* Behrend scored two runs on two hits in the first with two outs showing
* Jones singled, before Smith and Swain walked to load the bases
