Behrend Wrestling Named AMCC Dual-Meet Champions

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend wrestling team was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Dual-Meet Champions, closing out the regular-season conference matches with a wins over Alfred State and Penn. Tech on Saturday.

Match One: Behrend 35, Alfred State 15
Noteworthy:

* Zach Dellinger opened the match with a 13-11 decision at 125
* Evan Whiteside (133), Mason Savitz (174) and Abraham Keep (197) all recorded falls
* Rudy Brown (149) and Steffan Lynch (165) added technical falls
* Matthew Caldwell closed the dual with an 11-3 major decision at heavyweight
* The Lions only surrendered three weight classes

Match Two: Behrend 24, Penn. Tech. 20
Noteworthy:

* In a tightly contested dual, Behrend won five bouts and earned three pins
* Dellinger, Keep and Savitz were double winners on the day
* Dellinger got a 3-0 lead for the Lions with a 13-7 decision at 125
* Rudy Brown pinned his opponent in just 34 seconds at 149
* Savitz earned a fall at 174, while Louie DeJulia secured a sudden-victory win at 184
* Keep delivered a key fall at 197 in just 17 seconds to put the match out of reach for Penn. Tech.
