ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend wrestling team had three student-athletes named 2026 NCAA Division III Scholar All-Americans, as announced by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).
Zach Dellinger, Evan Whiteside, and Rudy Brown were selected for the Behrend Lions.
To be eligible, athletes must meet both wrestling and academic criteria: place in the top eight at the regional tournament, compete in at least 15 matches with a win percentage greater than 65%, and maintain a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher.
Brown earned his second Scholar All-American honor, while Dellinger and Whiteside received the recognition for the first time in their careers. Since the reinstatement of the program in 2017–18, the Lions now have six Scholar All-Americans.
Brown, a business major, and Whiteside, a general arts and sciences major, each placed fourth at regionals and were AMCC champions at 149 and 125 pounds, respectively.
Dellinger, a mechanical engineering technology major, finished the season with a 22–9 record and placed third at the AMCC Championships. He recorded nine pinfalls, five technical falls, and two major decisions.
