Women's Tennis Faces Carlow on Saturday; Travels to La Roche Sunday

The Penn State Behrend women’s tennis team will face two Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponents this weekend. The Lions are hosting Carlow on Saturday at 1 p.m. and then traveling to La Roche on Sunday.

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's tennis team will face two Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponents this weekend. The Lions are hosting Carlow on Saturday at 1 p.m. and then traveling to La Roche on Sunday.

* The Lions are 1-1 in conference play, defeating Penn State Altoona and falling to the reigning AMCC Champions Pitt-Greensburg by a score of 4-3
* Behrend is coming off a 4-3 win against Fredonia on September 24
* The Lions earned the doubles point by winning No. 2 and 3 doubles and then won at No. 2, 3 and 4 singles
* Lindsey Kerlin (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield Area) leads the team with three singles wins, playing at the No. 3 spot
* In doubles, Kerlin has teamed with Lauren Burkley (Irwin, PA/Penn Trafford) for a 2-2 record at No. 2 doubles
* Tamanna Sharma (Brampton, Canada/Flether's Meadow Secondary School) and Enisa Siljkovic (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) also have a pair of doubles wins in the top spot
