Sharma, Maloney, Murphy Headline All-AMCC Women's Tennis Team
Penn State Behrend women’s tennis senior Tamanna Sharma was named the 2025 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Co-Player of the Year, while freshman Lexa Maloney was voted Newcomer of the Year and Louis Murphy earned Coach of the Year honors to headline the All-AMCC Team.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend women's tennis senior Tamanna Sharma was named the 2025 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Co-Player of the Year, while freshman Lexa Maloney was voted Newcomer of the Year and Louis Murphy earned Coach of the Year honors to headline the All-AMCC Team.
Behrend landed six players on the All-Conference Team, including four on the First Team and Second Team for both doubles and singles play. Murphy mentored the Lions to the Regular-Season Championship and their second straight AMCC Championship.
Tamanna Sharma (Brampton, Canada/Fletcher's Meadow Secondary School) was the No. 1 player for Behrend in singles and doubles competition. In singles, she only dropped one conference match, going 4-1 in the top spot. Overall, she went 6-2 during the regular season. Sharma joined Enisa Siljkovic (Erie, PA/ Collegiate Academy) at No. 1 doubles for a 5-2 overall mark. The duo fell twice in conference play for a 2-2 mark and were selected Second Team All-Conference.
Maloney was named Newcomer of the Year after earning First Team All-Conference at No. 5 singles and Second Team at No. 3 doubles. She was undefeated in singles play this season, posting an overall record of 8-0 at the fifth spot and registering a 5-0 conference record. Maloney and Triss Righi were voted to the No. 3 doubles Second Team. The duo won two conference matches at No. 3 doubles. The other two matches were forfeited.
Siljkovic also landed on the First Team at No. 2 singles for leading Behrend in that spot with an undefeated conference record of 5-0 and an overall record at 8-0.
Kerlin was also selected to the All-AMCC First Team at No. 4 singles. She was undefeated in conference play at No. 4 singles at 5-0. She also finished the regular season 7-1 in the same position. Kerlin and Lauren Burkley were named to the Second Team at No. 2 doubles. The twosome dropped one conference match in the four they played together with a 3-1 record.
