CORTLAND, N.Y. - Julia Balaski (Mercer, PA/Mercer) and Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) earned All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) honors for the Penn State Behrend women's track & field team on the first day of the regional outdoor championships hosted by Cortland.

Key Moments:

* Balaski started day one with a third-place finish in the javelin throw

* On her first throw, she scored a distance of 118-1 for a trip to the podium

* In the pole vault, Kappeler tallied fifth place with a height of 11-3 to claim All-AARTFC honors
* This marks her second regional medal this year as she grabbed a medal at indoor championships
