Behrend Women's Track & Field Shines at Home Invite
The Penn State Behrend women’s outdoor track & field team had three first-place finishes and four runners-up at its own invitational on Saturday.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's outdoor track & field team had three first-place finishes and four runners-up at its own invitational on Saturday.
Key Moments:
* Bethany Litwiler was the first winner on the day, posting a time of 43:57.42 in the 10,000m
* Ella McGowan ran 29.10 to win the 200m and Julia Balaski threw 37.88m to lead a 1-2-3-4 finish in the javelin
* Emma Lang was second in the javelin (32.79m), Caroline Lewis took third (32.70m) and Braylee Lukehart came in fourth (32.14m)
* Kelsey Hanna paced Behrend in the 800m event, running her season-best time of 2:28.70 for second place
* Lindsey Hartle also took second on the day, clocking in at 18:43.00 in the 5000m
* Aliva Hetrick was fourth in the 5000m (20:30)
* In the hammer throw, Norah Keeney claimed second with a throw of 41.38m and Jessica Park was third (37.47m)
* Morgan Martin registered her season-best time in the 100m hurdles, running 17.05 for third place
* Anna Buck led the Lions in the high jump with a height of 1.43m for third overall, while Caroline McDevitt ran the 400m and placed third (1:00.35)
* Abigail Falk led a 3-4-5-6 finish in the 100m
* Falk tallied the team's best time of 12.90, followed by Chloe Yazembiak (13.06) in fourth, Buck in fifth (13.29) and Angelina Compeggie in sixth (13.62m)
