Women's Outdoor Track & Field Competes at Fredonia Invite
The Penn State Behrend women’s outdoor track & field team registered two first-place finishes at the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
FREDONIA, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's outdoor track & field team registered two first-place finishes at the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Key Moments:
* Chloe Yazembiak, Abigail Falk, Caroline McDevitt and Anna Buck took first place in the 4x100 relay with a season-best and AARTFC qualifying time of 49.51
* Caroline Lewis tallied a first-place finish for the Lions in the javelin throw, tossing 33.94 in her sixth attempt
* Braylee Lukehart was second on the team and third overall in the javelin (28.03m)
* Buck, Falk, McDevitt and Ruby Lormejuste made up the foursome that ran the 4x400 relay, taking second overall in 4:25.48
* Bethany Litwiler and Alivia Hetrick were 3-4 in the 5000m event, respectively
* Litwiler ran 19:36.08 for third and Hetrick was close behind in 19:44.15
* McDevitt then took fourth in the 400m, running 1:00.39
* Jessica Park led Behrend in the hammer throw with a toss of 41.86m to place sixth
* In the 1500m, Lindsey Hartle ran 5:02.65 for seventh place
