Gallentine Named Enterprise Rent-A-Car Athlete of the Week 9/14/09

Brooke Gallentine (Mt.Pleasant/Southmoreland) was named the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Athlete of the Week for the week of September 14, 2009.

Gallentine led program to the 2009 Behrend Invitational Tournament Title by virtue of a 4-0 record. Behrend handled Bethany, Lycoming, Roberts Wesleyan and Grove City by a combined set score of 12-2.

In the championship set, Gallentine finished with 51 assists and 11 digs.  She was also selected as tournament MVP. Over the weekend Gallentine also passed the 1,000 digs milestone for her career. She now has 1,027 career digs.

With the win, Behrend improved to 6-3 overall and will travel for its next three matches. Behrend heads to Cleveland to play John Carroll on Tuesday, September 15.
