Jones Helps Women's Volleyball Sweep Hilbert

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 win over Hilbert in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) opener on Tuesday night in the Junker Center.

Records: Penn State Behrend (14-5, 1-0 AMCC), Hilbert (13-8, 0-1 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* Cadence Jones had more than half of the team's kills with a match-high 22
* Jones also posted her seventh double-double of the season with 13 digs
* Behrend went ahead 21-14 in the first set
* The Hawks got within two at 24-22 but Jones got her sixth kill of the set to get the lead
* As a team, Behrend hit .316 in the first set
* In the second set, Jones tallied eight of the 11 kills while the Lions defense held Hilbert to just three kills for a 25-9 win
* Behrend jumped to a 9-0 lead in the final set
* Hilbert fought back to tie the score four times and take the lead once
* Jones hit .615, eight kills on 13 attempts, and added four digs
* Hannah Smith added eight kills and three block assists
* Brynne Smith recorded 34 assists and seven digs, while Sara Nobach tallied 15 digs
