Four Earn ACWPC All-Academic
Four Penn State Behrend women's water polo student-athletes have been recognized by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches for their athletic and academic performance for the 2020 season.
ERIE, Pa. – Four Penn State Behrend women's water polo student-athletes have been recognized by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) for their athletic and academic performance for the 2020 season.
Angela Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt), Shannon Young (Roseville, CA/Roseville), Daniella Rios (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Sagrados Corazones), and Kayla Scarpaci (Cypress, TX/Langham Creek) were named to the All-Academic Team for achieving a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher and competing during the season.
Laier, a junior, and Young, a freshman, earned Outstanding honors, registering a GPA between 3.71-4.0. Junior Rios and freshman Scarpaci received Superior honors (3.41-3.70).
