ROCHESTER, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team placed 16th with a team score of 470 at NCAA Regional Championships on Saturday at the Genessee Valley Park.

* Bethany Litwiler and Lindsey Hartle broke the 25-minute mark for the Lions
* Litwiler was first on the team and 82nd overall with a time of 24:35.1 and Hartle was 10 spots behind in 92nd overall, running 24:58.0
* Rounding out the top 100 for Behrend was freshman Kelsey Hanna, competing in her first NCAA Regionals
* Hanna tallied a time of 25:12.8 for 98th place
* Alivia Hetrick was the next to cross the line with a time of 25:39.0 for 101st and Samantha Abate was close behind in 102nd, crossing in 25:42.5 and earning the final points for Behrend
* Also running in the top seven for the Lions were Abby Major and Fiona Bunnell
* Major came in 123rd (27:04.3) and Bunnell registered a time of 27:13.3 for 125th
* New York University won the team title with 52 points and Geneseo followed in second with 64 and then Ithaca in third (166)
