Women's Soccer Ties John Carroll in HLM Tournament

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend women's soccer played John Carroll to a 1-all draw in the second game of the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

Key Moments:

* The Lions got on the board first at 42:47 when sophomore forward Alayna Winters buried a left-foot shot into the right corner from the top of the box
* The goal was Winters' third career and first of the season for the Behrend
* The Lions outshot the Blue Streaks 10-8 in the first 45 and had a 7-4 advantage in shots-on-goal and a 3-1 margin in corners
* John Carroll got the equalizer at 63:52 when a bit of confusion led to JC senior Emily Patrzyk's chip shot from the right side of the box with both the keeper and a defender out of position
* Behrend hung on at the end and avoided several Blue Streak scares down the stretch
* Goalie Riley Morningstar made four saves while counterpart Madeline Martin tallied nine stops
