Penn State Behrend captured the Presidents' Cup Championship for the ninth time in the past ten years, an honor awarded to the overall most successful athletic program in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.
Behrend earned the 2009-2010 crown by accumulating 108.5 points, based on finishes in 14 league-sponsored sports. Frostburg State finished as the runners-up with 96.5 points, followed by Penn State Altoona (92.5), Pitt-Bradford (74.5), and Medaille (73) to round out the top five finishers.
In 2009-2010 the Behrend Lions captured league championships in baseball, men's and women's tennis, men's cross country, men's golf, and men's and women's swimming and diving. Penn State Behrend Chancellor, Dr. Jack Burke was recently presented with the Presidents' Cup by the AMCC at the league meetings in May.
