16th Annual Herb Lauffer Memorial Golf Tournament

2013 Herb Lauffer Memorial Golf Outing - Friday, July 26th

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend Athletics Department held their 16^th annual Herb Lauffer Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, July 27 at the Lawrence Park Golf Course.

Sponsored by the Behrend Lions Athletic Association (BLAA), this scramble-style tournament honors the longtime Athletic Director Herb Lauffer.  Lauffer was a vital part of athletics at Behrend for nearly 30 years. From his days at the head men’s tennis coach through his 23 years as the head coach of the men’s soccer program and then tenure as the Athletic Director, he made a positive impact on those around him.

This year’s tournament had a full-field of participants at 144 golfers, including Herb’s wife Fran Lauffer.
